Niche developments goal is to construct buildings that produce enough renewable energy to accommodate the building consumption (Tenant space and common property). Through the development of our building design, we are able to achieve sustainable long term energy consumption reductions, and with a little innovation, we believe our zero energy goal is achievable in the near future.

Niche engineering supports our construction group by leading and leveraging the of AI, ML, and automation to speed up construction, with this technology in hand we can take design into construction faster than any other firm. We communicate with our trade partners via electronic model transfer, we minimize mistakes and errors always maximize coordination.
Here at Niche, we knew that using traditional companies to build and engineer buildings would be cost effective, so we sought out to change everyone's view. We had an idea on what Zero Emission technology should look like and we wanted to protect our intellectual property.
Our construction group cultivated the proper procedures and policies that separate us from "traditional" general contractors. We use our Niche technology and automation to speed up construction and procurement for projects.

The irony? Its CHEAPER for everyone to go 0 emission than to keep doing the same thing over and over. If we can put enough insulation, vapour barrier and air barriers into buildings to remove the need for heating or cooling, then we will not be spending money on utility bills. When you don’t spend money on gas or power, it increases the value of your property and makes it affordable long term.

At niche our 0 emission technology allows us to reduce long term operating costs substantially (ie more than 25% when compared to boiler heated buildings) thus increasing the value of our projects by %1.5-%2. This might seem small, but a 2% increase in value can represent $2million for 120 units.
At niche, using geothermal, solar PV and Solar heating, we can achieve 0 emission in our buildings. We will always need power, but we no longer need gas to operate buildings, including the parkades.
When we stop burning gas for heating or cooling, it will be a large step forward for society to achieve 0 emissions. Niche is helping to take that first step forward into a new era.
